《后厨》讲述的是小沈阳、海清饰演的“五星级”粤菜大厨为了争夺饭店厨房的领导权，明着斗厨艺，暗里斗心劲的故事。海清饰演面临“失业危机”的剩女大厨徐冰，小沈阳则出演刚刚刑满释放急需工作的监狱厨师长。他们一个业务精良，待人苛刻；一个自由散漫，手艺非凡，为了大厨的位子斗得不可开交。两人明着斗专业，暗着斗心计，但在这个过程里慢慢产生了感情。
刘大脑袋发展得特别好，事业很顺畅，这样一个女秘书可能是看上了，于是刘大脑袋就心猿意马了。皮校长与谢兰生了个儿子，取名志高。谢广坤高兴坏了摆了一片酒席，全村人都去贺喜。刘能找到赵四，希望赵四配合他，去谢广坤家白吃白喝，把当年谢广坤在他们家白吃白喝的事找回来。赵四为了玉田的未来的儿子没同意。刘能觉得自己去，但是刘英娘坚决反对，并且说，如果刘能去干白吃的事，她也不去了。刘能只好拿钱去随礼。赵四看见刘能来了，感觉刘能如果不随礼实在没有面子，就悄悄告诉刘英去劝劝刘能，不料这话被谢大脚听到，告诉了谢广坤。长贵一直在镇上齐镇长办公室等齐镇长，齐镇长没回来，打电话也不接。长贵很着急。谢大脚打电话让长贵抓紧时间回来，马上开席了。王云也给刘大脑袋打电话，让刘大脑袋过来，刘大脑袋答应马上。王云在身边预留了一个座位。谢广坤正得意地抱着皮校长的儿子到处跑，百忙中，跑到门口拦住刘能，说刘能不随礼就不让他进门。刘能把礼拿出来，谢广坤有些意外，反而被刘能取笑一顿。谢广坤当众表示，刘能的随礼钱不要，可以白吃。
甚至到了最后，连案件最初的本源都迷失了。一本正经？恐怕到了这个法庭也没法继续绷住脸孔了……
