《三乘合体·变形金刚GO!》是自2005年《变形金刚·银河之力》完结后,八年以来日版原创变形金刚动画的最新系列,剧情上为《变形金刚·领袖之证》的外传动画,迎接2014变形金刚三十周年的纪念作品之一.与以往不同的是这次将是以捆绑小学馆和讲谈社的两本杂志的DVD形式的OVA动画,自2013年7月起放送.主要剧情为沉睡在日本的汽车人小队·刀剑太保的武士小队和忍者小队共六位成员,为阻止巨狰狞四鬼众复活被封印的恶鬼大帝——冲云霄而被现代的少年唤醒,与巨狰狞军团战斗并保护具有神秘力量的传说圆盘.

影片取材自唐代裴刑短篇小说集《传奇》里的《聂隐娘》一篇，讲述聂隐娘幼时被一尼姑掳走，过了五年被送回已是一名技艺高超的女刺客，一次她奉命刺杀刘昌裔却为对方气度折服转而投靠，后又化解精精儿、空空儿两次行刺，是为名噪一时的传奇女侠。
