本故事讲述五位年青男孩的成长，杰、威、智（草猛），黎明和李克勤为一群好朋友。杰仔在投资公司工作，是一名只顾搏命揾钱的经纪，阿智则是笃信风水面相的邮差，明仔在寿司店工作，害羞的勤在老父的珠宝首饰工场当学徒，而威则刚刚会考失败，五人均抱有创业理想，共同开了一间洗毛巾工场。同时，明与克勤无意间在快餐店认识了活泼的Yoko和文静的季。明的酒脱立时吸引了Yoko，而季与勤亦发展迅速。 杰仔的秘书一直暗恋他，但李仔从未察觉。洗毛巾工场出问题，五人惟有决定改变方向转营多元化生意。另一方面，Yoko一心改变明的不羁性格，但最终以分手收场。季因移民澳洲与勤亦面临分开的现实。而杰仔的秘书，亦因放假而离开。勤的感情事业均踏入另一新阶段，更须勇气去克服自我和面前现实。明最终亦能改变花心不羁的性格，再与Yoko一起，杰仔亦能体会到揾钱不是一切，怀念起往日的秘书对他的种种好处。
