绵州市警察陈哲在调查一起富商之女小燕的绑架案时，得知犯罪嫌疑人出现了。陈哲马上组织警力准备逮捕犯罪嫌疑人，没想到等陈哲等人冲进犯罪现场，犯罪嫌疑人巫亮竟然自杀了。且留给警察一条线索，那就是一年前被他绑架的受害者齐莹，可能还活着。为了救出被绑架的小燕，陈哲对巫亮进行了一系列的调查，并在巫亮的姐姐家发现了一年前被绑架的齐莹。本以为能从齐莹嘴里得到被绑架的小燕的消息，谁知道齐莹的精神状态非常不好，甚至不能正常与人交流。就在陈哲一筹莫展的时候，受害者齐莹的丈夫楚河说自己能为妻子做催眠，或许能得到些小燕的消息。为了破案，陈哲让楚河参与到了案件的调查中，并通过催眠得到一个线索，巫亮曾把被害的女孩埋在了一个湿地。为了证实这一线索，陈哲带着警察到湿地进行地毯式的搜索，并发现了三局白骨。本来事情已经有了转机，谁知道楚河的妻子齐莹竟然神秘的消失了。留给警察的时间已经不多了，好在楚河提前在妻子齐莹身上装了个gps定位系统。很快，陈哲跟楚河来到了一个废弃的矿洞，齐莹和小燕可能就被关在里面。且矿洞马上就要被爆破了，陈哲一方面叫人去阻止爆破，一方面跟楚河进洞搜索。很快，两人在洞里发现了被绑架的齐莹跟小燕，还有巫亮的帮手阿东。陈哲与阿东发生了打斗，最终，陈哲为救众人，牺牲了自己的生命。
